Job summary

M-B Companies, an Aebi Schmidt brand located in Chilton, Wisconsin, is seeking fabricators to fabricate and assemble structural metal products. You will position, align, weld, and finish parts, and operate brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses.

The role involves setting up fabricating machines and tools, constructing templates, marking lines on work pieces, and ensuring conformance to specifications.

• Ability to read layouts and follow production sequences.

Responsibilities

• Positions, aligns, fits, and welds together parts by hammering, chipping, and grinding work piece to cut, bend, and straighten metal.
• Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses.
• Sets up and operates machine tools associated with fabricating shops such as radial drill press, end mill, and edge planer.
• Designs and constructs templates and fixtures upon receiving approval from supervisor.
• Locates and marks bending and cutting lines onto work piece.
