Qualifications

• Proven experience as a metal building erector foreman.
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects regularly.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Capable of lifting and manipulating heavy objects regularly.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise on-site MBE activities.
• Maintain construction schedule and budget.
• Promote jobsite safety and maintain cleanliness.
• Promote jobsite safety and rectify hazards.
• Prepare materials and calibrate machinery for erection work.
• Use cranes and telehandlers to position metal components.
• Install insulation and standing seam roofs.
• Rig and move metal items; guide loads into position.
• Bolt and weld metal works; ensure level sections.
• Perform steelwork dismantling for renovations.
• Cut and weld metal sections; use torches and equipment.
• Secure components with crowbars and jacks.
• Install sealing strips, wiring, insulation, reinforcement bars.
• Verify alignment with plumb bobs and lasers.
• Erect precast components for structures.
• Assemble hoisting equipment and rigging for safe movement.
• Other duties as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities of this Role are:

• Coordinates and supervises on‑site MBE activities in project construction plan in collaboration with Project Superintendent, Steel Division Lead and Project Management
• When required, maintains construction schedule to include two to three (2‑3) week look ahead, identify and solve problems, maintain estimated budget, insure quality workmanship conforming to original project plans/specifications, identify risks and resolve within guidelines established by PBC and Project Managers
• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
• Promote jobsite safety, encourage safe work practices, documents and rectifies jobsite hazards immediately
• Prepare materials and calibrate machinery prior to performing building erection work
• Use cranes and telehandlers to hoist and position metal components into place
• Install fiberglass insulation and standing seam roofs
• Rig, hoist, and move metallic items within the work area to ensure correct positioning
• Guide metal loads into position by following set instructions
• Bolt and weld metal works together and ensure that all sections are leveled properly
• Perform steelworks dismantling for renovation or pull‑down purposes
• Cut, melt, and weld metal sections and rods by using metal shears, torches, and welding equipment
• Force structural metal components into place by using tools such as crowbars and jacks
• Insert sealing strips, wiring and insulation materials, along with installing reinforcement bars
• Verify horizontal and vertical alignment of metal structures by using plumb bobs and laser equipment
• Erect precast concrete components for metal structures such as buildings, bridges, and towers
• Assemble hoisting equipment or rigging, including cables, pulleys, and hooks to ensure safe and easy movement
• Other duties as assigned

You will be successful in this role if your background and capabilities include:

• Proven experience as a metal building erector foreman
• The ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans
• Previous experience leading a crew and managing jobs
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects on a regular basis
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Valid Driver License
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
