Job summary

Maysteel is seeking an entry-level operator to perform setup operations and assist in assembly and spot welding processes in a manufacturing setting. You will work with technicians and leaders to gain skills for promotion and learn to handle related equipment and processes.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, quality conformance, starting and stopping equipment, using gauges, recording data, and training new hires.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Experience with power and hand tools is recommended.
• Basic math and communication skills required.
• Entry level - will train.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment with proper PPE and lifting techniques.
• Gain knowledge and inspection practices to ensure quality conformance.
• Inform management or lead of any part or equipment defects.
• Start up and stop equipment.
• Read gauges and record data.
• Use Epicor ERP to log into and out of jobs.
• Conserve resources to minimize waste.
• Assemble components accurately to approved specifications.
• Assist in training new employees.
