Job summary

Ottenweller Company, Inc. is seeking a reliable assembler to set up an efficient assembly area, position parts from blueprints, and use hand tools for fastening metal components.

You will inspect finished assemblies for quality and safety, transport them with a forklift, and maintain accurate inventory records using the Vantage system. The role requires basic blueprint proficiency, a forklift license, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; 1–2 years of large assembly or mechanical experience preferred.
• Must complete forklift training and hold a valid forklift license.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up assembly area with materials and tools and position parts per blueprint.
• Assemble large and small metal parts and fasten with bolts, screws, rivets, and other fasteners.
• Inspect completed assemblies for quality and safety; complete inspection forms.
• Move assemblies using forklift to final inspection and transport parts in inventory.
• Clean and organize the work area; manage stock and packing of parts.
• Assist Industrial Painter by preparing parts and moving to the paint booth.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
