Job summary

Ottenweller Company, Inc. is hiring for a full-time assembler to build large metal assemblies in our Fort Wayne facility. You will use hand tools, fasten parts with bolts and rivets, and ensure tightness and alignment per blueprints.

Daily duties include inspecting finished work, moving assemblies with a forklift, and maintaining accurate inventory records in the Vantage system. Strong mechanical aptitude and prior assembly or manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Assembly experience with metal components preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble large metal assemblies using hand tools and fasteners.
• Inspect assemblies visually and physically for quality.
• Maintain inventory using the Vantage computer system.
• Clean and organize the assembly area.
• Pack assembled parts for shipment.
• Assist Painter and move parts with forklift.
• Set up the assembly area according to blueprints.
