Job summary

80/20 is seeking a Builds Operator to join the Builds team. This role reads drawings to assemble customer orders to exact specifications and collaborates with other operators to ensure accuracy.

You will prep materials, build, assemble, and ship completed projects, assist with exhibits and demonstrations, troubleshoot issues, and communicate with other departments, customers and distributors as needed. A forklift license and ability to lift 40 lbs for a long shift are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (from Qualifications section).
• Read and understand work instructions and verbally communicate with others.
• Strong math skills including fractions and decimals.
• Able to read a tape measure and work with air and hand tools.
• Forklift license or ability to obtain one.
• Able to stand, twist, bend, squat, stoop, kneel and lift 40 lbs. for a 10-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings to assemble orders per customer specifications.
• Prep materials for builds (loading fasteners, installing T-slot covers).
• Build, assemble, and ship completed projects.
• Assist with designing, building, installation, and deliveries of exhibits and special projects.
• Troubleshoot errors on projects.
• Communicate with other departments, customers and distributors as needed.
• Perform all other duties as deemed necessary.
