Job summary

North Point Technology seeks an experienced MES Controls Engineer to support high-volume manufacturing. You will focus on MES, PLC integration, real-time production execution, and automation system reliability.

Responsibilities include MES-to-PLC integrations, configuring MES/PLC communications, and ensuring MES data integrity while supporting production reporting and quality validation.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing MES in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience integrating ERP, MES, and PLC systems.

Responsibilities

• Support MES-to-PLC integrations during system launches and ramp-ups.
• Configure and maintain communications between MES and PLC systems.
• Integrate MES template routines and UDTs into PLC programs.
• Create, modify, and maintain PLC tags and logic for MES transactions.
• Collaborate with Process Engineers and MES teams to ensure integration success.
• Document MES-related PLC modifications and troubleshooting actions.
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and industrial network issues affecting MES.
• Support real-time production reporting and data integrity.
• Assist with audits, root-cause analysis, and data requests.
• Identify opportunities to improve MES functionality and automation performance.
• Support MES upgrades and new production rollouts.
