Job summary

Veteran Benefits Guide (VBG) is seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer II to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications that support growth and operational excellence. You will work with Product, Design, QA, and business teams.

As part of the engineering team, you’ll participate in the full SDLC, deliver secure, user-focused software, and contribute to best practices. We offer work-from-home flexibility, a balanced schedule, and mentorship.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of full-stack software development experience.
• Strong experience with MERN stack.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and modern front-end development practices.
• Experience with React and responsive design.
• RESTful APIs with Node.js and Express.js.
• MongoDB data modeling and querying.
• HTML5, CSS3, and modern UI frameworks.
• TypeScript preferred.
• Experience with AWS and cloud services.
• Containerization with Docker; Kubernetes is a plus.
• Git, CI/CD, automated testing; Agile environments.
• Healthcare/regulated industries experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack web apps using MERN.
• Develop APIs, integrations, and backend services.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.
• Ensure secure, reliable, scalable software.
• Provide technical documentation and support.
