Job summary

Cart.com is seeking a meticulous MoR Accountant to own end-to-end MoR accounting operations, ensuring payment processing integrity, settlements accuracy, tax compliance, and tight financial controls across brands.

Ideal candidates have 3–7 years in payments operations and accounting within ecommerce or SaaS, with strong Excel and SQL skills, and a track record of reducing errors and improving controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in payments operations, merchant services, accounting, finance, or related field in ecommerce/SaaS.
• Strong understanding of payment processing, settlements, merchant accounts, and financial controls.
• Hands-on experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close support.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience analyzing large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Own the accounting and operational oversight of Merchant of Record activities across supported brands.
• Review, validate, and approve high-value transactions and settlements per thresholds and controls.
• Monitor and resolve payment exceptions including settlements, holds, chargebacks, and refunds.
• Maintain transaction-level review processes to minimize errors and revenue leakage.
• Serve as primary liaison for payment processing, settlements, reconciliations, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
