Job summary

Cart.com, Inc. seeks a detail-oriented Merchant of Record Accountant to own end-to-end MoR accounting operations across our brands.

You will ensure accuracy of payment processing, settlements, tax compliance, and financial controls in a fast-paced ecommerce environment. The role requires reviewing high-value transactions, resolving payment issues, maintaining reconciliations to the general ledger, and supporting month-end close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–7 years in payments operations or related field.
• Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close.
• Experience with Excel and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Own MoR accounting operations across brands.
• Review and approve high-value transactions.
• Monitor payment exceptions and settlements.
• Maintain reconciliations between payment platforms and GL.
• Support tax compliance and audits.
