Uber is seeking a Senior Manager to lead a talented team of scientists focused on UberEats experiences for riders and merchants. You will guide strategy, set metrics, and optimize product outcomes by driving high-impact, data-driven initiatives.

You will mentor senior ICs and people managers, shape long-term technical direction, and collaborate across Engineering, Product, Ops, and Design to deliver scalable ML-powered solutions that improve efficiency and reliability.

Formación

• PhD, MS, or BS in Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or other quantitative fields.
• Minimum 10 years of industry experience as a Scientist or equivalent (8+ years with a PhD).
• Minimum 4 years of people management experience, including managing managers and senior ICs.
• Proven leadership in influencing long-term strategy and technical direction across orgs.
• Advanced expertise in experimental design, causal inference, and ML in production.
• Proficiency with Python or R for large-scale data analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop a high-performing organization of scientists, mentoring senior ICs and coaching other managers.
• Define the technical vision and roadmap for critical product areas.
• Drive strategic thinking in marketplace design, pricing algorithms, and ML applications.
• Refine ambiguous business questions into structured analytical frameworks and deliver actionable insights.
• Establish data foundations, instrumentation, and observability infrastructure.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Ops, and Design to execute high-visibility initiatives.
