Job summary

Uber Technologies Inc. is seeking exceptional ML engineers to lead the design and productionization of large-scale ML models and matching algorithms across Uber's Delivery Marketplace.

You will work with ML and BE engineers, product managers, and scientists to set technical direction and solve complex business problems to improve reliability and user experience in Uber Delivery trips. You will own end-to-end ML solutions for real-time marketplaces, develop transformer-based models, and mentor

Qualifications

• Ph.D., MS or Bachelor in Computer Science or Mathematics with ML focus and demonstrated impact.
• 3+ years leading ML model development in large-scale production at top-tier ML companies.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, Java, or Go.
• Experience with Spark, Ray, Flink and microservices architectures.
• Strong understanding of modern ML algorithms and deployment pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical strategy and roadmap ownership for multiple quarters and mentor cross-team engineers.
• Develop ML-based prediction, forecasting, and optimization products for online marketplaces.
• Lead end-to-end ML solutions for large-scale distributed systems handling billions of trips.
• Develop transformer-based models to produce embeddings and language profiles.
