Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our store leadership team in Clinton, South Carolina. You will assist the Store Manager in supervising associates, merchandising, processing freight, and ensuring store standards and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, asset protection, stockroom/sales floor maintenance, and executing directives while maintaining a safe, positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform related physical tasks.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and information requests related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team members.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Assist the Store Manager with additional duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of merchandise and manage freight flow as per standards.
• Stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items, per productivity standards.
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective and merchandise is visible.
