Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Milford, MA to support the Store Manager by leading a dynamic team and optimizing merchandising and freight processes. You will help with daily store operations, safety, and customer service while implementing corporate directives.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to lift heavy items, with continuous focus on clean, organized sales floors and stockrooms.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain store cleanliness and restocking duties
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Other duties as assigned*
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise
• Manage freight flow in line with productivity standards
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales items
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners
