Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily functions and help customers in a positive, approachable manner.

The role involves organizing merchandise, executing opening/closing procedures, and supporting the Store Manager in training and oversight. A high school diploma is preferred and you will work in a fast-paced retail environment to ensure a safe, friendly shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a retail team or store operations.

• Ability to lead, train, and develop store associates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling, and cash handling.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized per standards.
• Protect store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff compliance.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness, restrooms, floors, trash, and overall neatness.
