Job summary

Dollar Tree in Greenwood, MS is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive experiences for the communities we serve. You’ll focus on merchandising and processing freight while supporting daily store operations.

The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and teamwork, with responsibilities ranging from stock management to implementing monthly plans and maintaining store standards.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and handle physical tasks.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards
• Process corporate directives and related communications
• Maintain store cleanliness and restocking, bathrooms included
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates
• Other duties as assigned
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective
• Plan and maintain clip strips and power panels with sale items
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners
