Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Dillon, MT to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and ensuring engaging customer experiences. The role focuses on merchandising and processing freight, while maintaining store standards and safety guidelines.

The successful candidate will assist with daily store operations, freight management, and periodic planning to drive sales and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards
• Process all corporate directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy and other communications
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates
• Other duties as assigned
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise
• Manage freight flow in accordance with productivity standards
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective
• Plan and merchandise monthly Sales Planners
