Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the team in Kalispell, MT. You will work alongside the Store Manager to lead a dynamic group of associates in merchandising and processing freight while ensuring a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, asset protection, policy adherence, and maintaining clean, organized stockrooms and sales floors. A proactive, energetic approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform extensive walking, standing, and lifting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and restock as needed.
• Provide a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Assist Store Manager with duties including freight flow and merchandise planning.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain sales-ready displays and monthly Sales Planners.
