Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Highland Springs, VA to partner with the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering value to customers and communities.

You will focus on merchandising, processing freight, and day-to-day store operations, including opening/closing, asset protection, and keeping the store clean and presentable. This role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to meet productivity standards while providing friendly service.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives and store communications.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise and freight flow.
• Stock merchandise, including frozen & refrigerated, per productivity standards.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners and merchandise clips.
