Job summary

Dollar Tree in Stafford, VA is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team while focusing on merchandising and freight processing.

You will assist with store operations, protect assets, maintain a clean, safe environment, and support monthly planning and stock needs. This on-site role requires energy, teamwork, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform related physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and restock as needed.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
