Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Richland, MS to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and ensuring a positive customer experience.

You'll focus on merchandising, freight processing, and daily store operations, while upholding company standards and safety guidelines. This role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift heavy items as needed in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock bathrooms; sweep and mop floors.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Assist with receipt and return of merchandise and manage freight flow.
• Order and stock merchandise needs including frozen & refrigerated.
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective; plan merchandise and monthly Sales Planners.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
