Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering a positive shopping experience. You will focus on merchandising and processing freight, while maintaining store standards and policies.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. The position supports a high-energy retail environment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restock bathrooms, sweep/mop floors, take out trash.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Assist the Store Manager with duties including processing merchandise receipts and managing freight flow.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain displays with sales-effective items.
• Implement monthly Sales Planners.
