Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. in Oceanside, CA is hiring a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive customer experiences.

The role centers on merchandising and processing freight while upholding Dollar Tree standards. You will assist with daily store operations, manage freight flow, stock merchandise (including frozen & refrigerated), and ensure the sales floor remains sales-effective.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management preferred.
• Strong communication and writing skills required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information requests, and other communications.
• Maintain store cleanliness and presentation (bathrooms, floors, etc.).
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
