Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive experiences for customers and communities. The role focuses on merchandising, freight processing, store upkeep, and adherence to company policies while maintaining a safe, respectful environment.

Previous retail/management experience is preferred. You will help plan monthly merchandise needs, stock the sales floor, and ensure sales effectiveness

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, and repetitive movements.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restocking bathrooms.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Assist with receipt/return of merchandise and manage freight flow.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales items.
