Job summary

Five Below is seeking an enthusiastic store manager-in-training to oversee receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for rapid placement on the sales floor. You will set up displays, ensure accurate signage for promotions, and manage opening/closing procedures with a focus on security and daily operations.

As Manager on Duty, you will lead store staff, promote excellent customer service, and drive sales while controlling expenses.

Qualifications

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Demonstrated creativity in merchandising and problem solving.
• Ability to stay composed under pressure and manage priority tasks.
• Experience in retail management or leadership roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the receiving, unpacking, and organizing of new stock to ensure items are quickly and efficiently placed on the sales floor
• Manages the setup and maintenance of displays for specific store sections, ensuring signage is accurate and promotions are highlighted
• Manages opening or closing the store, including securing cash, locking doors, and setting alarms
• Acts as Manager on Duty, taking responsibility for store operations, staff, and customer service
• Oversees daily activities of store associates and ensures performance expectations are met
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates on store policies and procedures
• Drives store sales and controls expenses by optimizing merchandising and staff performance
• Executes market plan with correctly displayed signage and updated promos
• Ensures the company Inventory Integrity process is followed
