Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Massillon, OH to work with the Store Manager in leading a team and managing merchandising and freight processing. You will assist with daily store functions, ensure safety and cleanliness, and support planograms and stock levels to optimize sales.

The role involves lifting up to 50 lbs, engaging with customers and team members, and helping implement monthly Sales Planners while maintaining store standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform typical store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, trash, and general presentation.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment while interacting with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Other duties as assigned.
