Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Lima, Ohio to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and driving merchandising and freight processing. You will assist with store operations, open/close procedures, maintain cleanliness, protect assets, and ensure safe, friendly interactions with customers and associates.

This role involves planning and stocking merchandise, coordinating monthly Sales Planners, and supporting the team to maintain a high-energy, compliant retail

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent standing, walking, and bending.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process corporate directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information requests, and related communications.
• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with professional interactions with customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
