Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Highland Heights, OH. You will support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and focus on merchandising and processing freight to keep the store running smoothly.

This role requires strong communication, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a high-energy, team-oriented approach. The position is full-time with opportunities to contribute to community experiences and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and procedures, including safety guidelines
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards
• Process corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain store cleanliness and presentable condition
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment
• Other duties as assigned*
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated, per productivity standards
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales items
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners
