Job summary

Dollar Tree in Indian Trail, NC is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the Store Manager in guiding a dynamic team and delivering positive community experiences.

You will focus on merchandising, processing freight, opening/closing procedures, maintaining store cleanliness, and protecting assets while delivering friendly customer service.

This role offers a full-time schedule with opportunities to grow in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy and store communications.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, and overall presentation.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Support Store Manager with freight, merchandising, and monthly planning.
