Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Boone, NC is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our store leadership team. You will work with the Store Manager to drive merchandising, freight processing, and daily store operations to deliver value to our communities.

This role requires prior retail and management experience, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment. On-site position with some training across shifts.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, take out trash.
• Ensure a positive, safe and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Assist Store Manager with freight flow, merchandise planning, and monthly sales planning.
