All Lowe's associates deliver quality customer service while maintaining a store that is clean, safe, and stocked with the products our customers need. As a Merchandising Service Associate – Plant Service Lead, this means focusing on Live Plants while:

  1. Being friendly and professional while engaging vendors and associates to meet store needs.
  2. Ensuring signage, pricing information, and displays are accurate for easy merchandise location.
  3. Creating visually appealing, safe, clean, and accessible product displays.

The Merchandising Service Associate – Plant Service Lead oversees all assigned Live Nursery merchandising resets, service responsibilities, and maintenance activities, working outdoors in the garden center to ensure merchandise is stocked, fronted, and priced according to planograms and standards. They collaborate closely with the Merchandising Service Manager, team members, and store leaders to set priorities and address nursery service needs, providing ongoing updates and feedback. Maintaining a safe environment through daily safety reviews, hazard identification, cleanliness, and security monitoring is essential. Travel is occasional for meetings, training, or support to neighboring stores.

What you will do

  1. Provide excellent customer service by adhering to Lowe's policies and procedures.
  2. Build vendor relationships by directing and verifying merchandise resets.
  3. Communicate project priorities, schedules, and needs with the team and manager.
  4. Engage with customers when opportunities arise, assisting with locating, demonstrating, and loading merchandise, and responding promptly to questions.
  5. Merchandise plants onto tables according to planograms, ensuring proper signage and display standards.
  6. Identify and replace damaged signage, displays, and collateral.
  7. Maintain accurate signage and digital information throughout the store.
  8. Ensure proper placement of cross-merchandise and support products to drive sales.
  9. Assist with culling and pricing distressed plants.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about issues and needs.
  11. Adjust fixtures, rotate stock, and support display setup with power equipment as needed.
  12. Document completion of service and maintenance tasks, including photographs.
  13. Ensure displays are safe, functional, and repaired when necessary.
  14. Handle packaging repairs and debris removal to maintain cleanliness.
  15. Replace light bulbs and report maintenance issues promptly.
  16. Monitor for shoplifting and security risks, reporting concerns immediately.
  17. Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas according to standards.
  18. Follow safety protocols, including the use of safety equipment and procedures.
  19. Operate store equipment such as lifts, phones, and surveillance systems as required.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Less than 1 year 6 months of live nursery or general merchandising experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Less than 1 year 6 months of Lowe's sales floor experience.
  • 6 months of experience in product merchandising, including reading planograms and setup/teardown of displays.
  • Less than 1 year 3 months operating power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
