Your ImpactAll Lowe's associates deliver quality customer service while maintaining a store that is clean, safe, and stocked with the products our customers need. As a Merchandising Service Associate – Plant Service Lead, this means focusing on Live Plants while: (1) being friendly and professional while engaging vendors and associates to meet store needs, (2) ensuring signage, pricing information, and displays are accurate, and (3) creating visually appealing product selections that are safe, clean, and accessible. The role involves overseeing all Live Nursery merchandising resets, service responsibilities, and maintenance activities, working outdoors in the garden center to ensure merchandise is stocked, fronted, and priced per planograms and standards. Collaboration with the Merchandising Service Manager, team, and store leaders is essential to set priorities and address nursery service needs. Maintaining a safe environment through daily safety reviews, organization, and security monitoring is also required. Travel is occasional, mainly for meetings, training, or supporting nearby stores.
What you will do - Deliver SMART customer service following Lowe’s policies and procedures.
- Build relationships with vendors and ensure merchandise resets meet Lowe’s standards.
- Communicate project priorities, schedules, and needs with the team and manager.
- Engage with customers when opportunities arise, assisting with locating, demonstrating, and loading merchandise, and responding promptly to questions.
- Provide product information, update signage, and ensure displays and signage are accurate and safe.
- Assist with culling, pricing, and merchandising of plants, including managing damaged signage and updating digital information.
- Maintain communication with team members and report issues related to quality, quantity, or additional needs.
- Adjust fixtures, rotate stock, and support display setup using power equipment as needed.
- Complete and document service and maintenance tasks, including taking photos for confirmation.
- Ensure displays are safe and functional, repairing or replacing as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization, including trash removal and equipment checks.
- Monitor for security risks and report suspicious activity promptly.
- Follow safety protocols and operate store equipment appropriately.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:- Less than 1 year 6 months of live nursery or general merchandising experience.
Preferred Qualifications:- High school diploma or GED.
- Less than 1 year 6 months of Lowe’s sales floor experience.
- Experience with product merchandising, reading planograms, and setting up displays.
- Less than 1 year 3 months operating power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
