All Lowe's associates deliver quality customer service while maintaining a store that is clean, safe, and stocked with the products our customers need. As a Merchandising Service Associate – Plant Service Lead, this means focusing on Live Plants while:

  1. Being friendly and professional while engaging vendors and associates to meet store needs.
  2. Ensuring signage, pricing information, and displays are accurate so that merchandise is easy to locate.
  3. Creating visually appealing product selections that are safe, clean, and accessible for customers.

The Merchandising Service Associate – Plant Service Lead is primarily responsible for overseeing execution of all assigned Live Nursery merchandising resets, service responsibilities, and maintenance activities. This involves working outside in the garden center, ensuring merchandise is stocked, fronted, and priced according to planograms and store-specific standards (e.g., stock, displays, promotion space). The role requires close collaboration with the Merchandising Service Manager, other associates, and store leaders to set priorities, identify nursery service needs, and provide ongoing updates and feedback. Maintaining a safe work environment through daily safety reviews, hazard identification, cleanliness, and security monitoring is also essential. Travel is occasional for meetings, training, or supporting neighboring stores.

What you will do

  • Provide excellent customer service by executing Lowe's policies and programs daily.
  • Build relationships with vendors and ensure merchandise resets meet Lowe’s standards.
  • Communicate project priorities, schedules, and needs with the team and manager.
  • Engage with customers when opportunities arise, assisting with locating, demonstrating, and loading merchandise, and responding knowledgeably to questions.
  • Merchandise plants according to planograms, update signage, and replace damaged displays or collateral.
  • Maintain digital and physical signage, ensure proper placement of cross-merchandise, and assist with culling and pricing plants.
  • Communicate issues related to quality, quantity, or additional needs to supervisors.
  • Adjust fixtures, rotate stock, and support displays using power equipment as needed.
  • Complete and document service and maintenance tasks, including photographing completed work.
  • Ensure displays are safe and functional, repairing or replacing as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization, including trash removal and equipment maintenance.
  • Detect and report theft or security risks promptly.
  • Follow safety standards, conduct safety reviews, and operate store equipment as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Less than 1 year 6 months of live nursery or general merchandising experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Less than 1 year 6 months of Lowe’s sales floor experience.
  • 6 months experience in product merchandising, including reading planograms and setting up displays.
  • Less than 1 year 3 months of experience operating power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
