Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
As a FAST Team Member, it is essential that you be available, flexible, adaptable, and service-oriented, as you must be able to fulfill all of the following requirements:
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Work scheduled shifts and have the ability to work varied hours, days, nights, and overtime as dictated by business needs.
- Communicate proactively and regularly with District FAST Supervisor on work completion, issues, and offer solutions to overcome.
- Complete planograms and resets accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform store-specific measurements.
- Perform accurate cycle counts.
- Complete Tractor Way top cap process.
- Hang store signage.
- Assemble merchandise, fixtures, and PDQs.
- Perform detailed recovery and review planogram integrity.
- Deliver on our promise of Legendary Customer Service through GURA:
- Greet the Customer.
- Uncover Customer’s Needs & Wants.
- Recommend Product Solutions.
- Ask to Add Value & Appreciate the Customer.
- Ensure the customer has a Legendary shopping experience that differentiates from the competition.
- Provide peak coverage as needed (e.g., Day After Thanksgiving).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Prior retail and/or merchandising experience is required. Farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid driver’s license.
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. Regardless of education level, FAST Team Members must be able to read, write, and count accurately.
Preferred knowledge, skills, or abilities
- Farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict.
- Must be self-directed and able to complete assignments with little to no assistance.
Working Conditions
- Generally working inside with moderate noise; outdoor lots and store floors are hard surfaces.
- Work shifts vary, generally no less than 4 hours and may exceed 8 hours.
- Travel between store locations in your personal vehicle is required, often for long periods.
- Promote a safe and productive work environment and adhere to safety guidelines.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with proper equipment.
- Lift or reach overhead occasionally.
- Stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, and climb ladders frequently.
- Operate store equipment and handle merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Handle contact with birds/poultry.
- Complete all training successfully.
- Operate equipment like dollies, handtrucks, forklifts (if age-appropriate).
- Perform physical activities throughout the shift, including moving merchandise and navigating the store.
