Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a Store Associate at TJ Maxx in Traverse City, MI to execute merchandising standards and ensure efficient processing of merchandise. You will engage customers, maintain a clean store, and model exceptional service.

Responsibilities include training Associates, tagging and stocking merchandise, coordinating with the Coordinator on Duty, and upholding safety and loss-prevention protocols. Flexible schedule; competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience or more required.
• 6 months of leadership experience or more required.
• Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Execute receiving and merchandising standards; ensure efficiency and teamwork.
• Provide excellent customer experience and maintain a clean, organized store.
• Train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles.
• Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
• Communicate with management to ensure flow of goods to sales floor.
• Support store shrink reduction goals and safety programs.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
