Merchandising Planning and Inventory Manager

Uno Alla Volta is seeking a Merchandising Planning & Inventory Manager to support the planning and inventory team in forecasting demand and purchasing inventory for a diverse product range. The ideal candidate will leverage data-driven decision-making to ensure optimal stock levels aligned with our business objectives. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key to enhancing sales performance, improving profitability, maintaining our brand's uniqueness, and contributing to continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage overall inventory flow to ensure appropriate stock levels for each product drop, minimize preorders, and meet company turn and cash flow goals.
  • Forecast seasonal sales to meet demand for products selected by the merchandising team for catalogs, online sales, mailers, etc.
  • Respond to business trends, including overselling or underselling of products.
  • Manage purchase orders from creation to receipt, monitor delivery dates, follow up with vendors, and address issues as needed.
  • Review stock overages and follow markdown cadence to prevent inventory aging.
  • Manage and project open-to-buy, collaborating with relevant team members on status and concerns.
  • Prepare weekly business recap reports.
  • Communicate and collaborate regularly in meetings, sharing relevant information.

Qualifications:

  • At least five (5) years of retail merchandise planning, inventory management, demand planning, or forecasting experience, preferably in apparel or eCommerce.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, inventory control, business, retail, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel and pivot tables.
  • Experience with purchase order systems and inventory management practices.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, retail math, and problem resolution.
  • Knowledge of logistics, freight quoting, tariff codes, and landing processes is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change, and meet deadlines.
