Job summary

UNIQLO USA in New York is seeking a Merchandise Planner for the E-Commerce team to help drive sales and profits by coordinating with site, CRM and digital marketing teams.

The role focuses on building weekly and seasonal financial plans, reforecasting in-season, analyzing product performance, planning allocations with Merchandising, Logistics and Warehouse, and supporting cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of buying, planning or inventory management experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with business sense.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; adaptable to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Build financial sales, gross margin and inventory plans weekly and seasonally.
  • Reforecast in-season and present revised projections to leadership.
  • Analyze product performance and propose data-driven sell-out strategies.
  • Coordinate with Merchandising, Logistics and Warehouse to plan allocations.
  • Support Digital Marketing and Site Merchandising teams.
  • Create and manage exception-based reporting for items with no sales.
  • Execute site merchandising based on sales forecast and seasonal strategy.
  • Manage workload and deadlines with accuracy.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Merchandise Planner to join the E-Commerce Merchandise Planning Team. This position is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales and profit objectives, working in partnerships with larger E-commerce teams including site, CRM& digital marketing, and managing multiple ad hoc projects related to overall E-commerce channel planning and strategies

Responsibilities:
  • Build financial sales, gross margin and inventory plans at a weekly level on a seasonal basis.
  • Reforecast business in-season based on current performance, present revised projections and recommendations to cross functional partners and senior leadership.
  • Analyze product performance and propose data-driven sell-out strategy.
  • Closely work with Merchandising, Logistics and Warehouse partners to plan allocation strategies.
  • Cross-functional partner supporting efforts of the Digital Marketing and Site Merchandising teams.
  • Create and manage any exception-based reporting for any items with no sales.
  • Interact with business leaders to support global initiatives to grow the business.
  • Partner with customer service center to ensure quick resolution of any product issues and ensure that customer service is up to speed with business needs.
  • Manage both pre-season and in-season sales plan by SKU level weekly, monthly and seasonally
  • Provide significant analysis to support seasonal planning decisions and directions, inventory aging, full priced and markdown selling and gross margin, transfers, and sku productivity
  • Identify opportunities and implement processes to create efficiencies across the department
  • Communicate and partner cross-functionally to inform and lead E-commerce business
  • Reviews e-commerce communications and participates in reviewing advertising effectiveness analysis with larger E-commerce teams including site, CRM, digital marketing…etc.
  • Review key conclusions on style productivity and assortment breadth resulting from performing assortment analytics
  • Support Planning Projects through the development of action focused solutions based on analysis. Presents findings and proposed actions to cross functional team members and business leaders
  • Manage workload and schedule to support and meet all deadlines with accuracy
  • Execute site merchandising based on sales forecast and seasonal product strategy
  • Other related duties to be assigned by direct supervisor
  • Frequently in person collaboration
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of experience in buying/planning/inventory management or financial forecasting
  • High level of experience and proficiency in Excel
  • Proficiency in other Microsoft Office products- Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical proficiency with strong business and financial analysis skills
  • Maintain a positive and friendly attitude and the ability to work with a variety of personalities, sometimes under intense situations
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks\
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities

Salary: $114,000 - $120,000* annually

**The offered salary or salary range is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, overall experience, relevant experience, education level, certifications, applicable skills and expertise, and location of the position.
