Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Harrisburg, PA to join our store leadership team. You will partner with the Store Manager to lead associates, focus on merchandising, and manage freight processing, while upholding company standards and safety guidelines.

The role requires early-shift availability and a commitment to providing a positive customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Must lift 30–50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and be able to frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information requests, and related communications.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Other duties as assigned.
