Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Superior, WI. You’ll work alongside the Store Manager to lead a team of associates and ensure smooth merchandising and freight processing on the sales floor and in the stockroom.

You’ll handle daily store operations, maintain clean and presentable areas, and uphold safety and company policies while delivering friendly customer service and productive teamwork. This is a full-time role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Other duties as assigned*
• Process the receipt and return of DSD merchandise
• Manage freight flow in accordance with productivity standards
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales effective items
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners
