Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Portage, Wisconsin is hiring a Merchandise Assistant Manager to work with the Store Manager, lead a dynamic team of associates, and create positive experiences for our communities through focused merchandising and freight processing.

You will assist with all store functions, perform opening and closing duties, protect assets, maintain stockrooms and sales floors, and execute corporate directives to keep the store compliant and efficient.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and presentability.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise per productivity standards.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain displays and monthly Sales Planners.
