Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. seeks a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and driving merchandising and freight processing. You will help maintain store standards, safety, and customer service excellence.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, assets protection, stock organization, and executing monthly plans to optimize sales while sustaining a positive, energetic team environment.

Qualifications

• Retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restock as needed.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and colleagues.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise and freight flow.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain display fixtures and monthly Sales Planners.
