Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Laconia, NH to support the Store Manager in leading a team of associates and delivering a positive community experience. The role centers on merchandising and processing freight to meet store goals.

Responsibilities include assisting with all store functions, opening/closing procedures, asset protection, and maintaining cleanliness on both stockroom and floor. Prior retail/management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and handle standing, walking, bending, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, bathrooms included.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.
