Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Hatfield Township, PA to partner with the Store Manager and lead a team of associates in merchandising and freight processing.

You will perform opening/closing tasks, secure assets, enforce policies, and keep the store clean and well-stocked while ensuring a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff. Preferred candidates have retail and management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms and floors.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Assist Store Manager with additional duties: process receipts/returns of merchandise, manage freight flow, stock needs, and monthly Sales Planners.
