Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. seeks a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Southfield, MI to join our store leadership team. You will assist the Store Manager in merchandising, freight processing, and daily operations, helping create positive experiences for customers and communities.

You’ll guide associates, maintain store standards from stockroom to sales floor, and support safety, policies, and community-focused service while delivering results in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Ensure store cleanliness and presentability, including bathrooms.
• Provide a positive, safe environment for customers and associates.
• Support Store Manager with freight flow, merchandising, and monthly planning.
