Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Redford, MI is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and focusing on merchandising and freight processing.

You will help with opening/closing duties, asset protection, policy adherence, and maintaining stockroom and sales floor to company standards. The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness (bathrooms, floors, trash) and presentability.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
