Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Clawson, MI is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our store leadership team. You’ll work with the Store Manager to guide a dynamic group of associates, focus on merchandising, freight processing, and delivering a positive guest experience.

You’ll assist with all store functions, lead by example in safety and policies, maintain stockrooms and sales floors to our standards, and support monthly planning and directives to optimize store performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Ability to work well in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with daily store functions.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process freight and merchandise flow per productivity standards.
• Plan, merchandise, and stock needs including frozen/refrigerated items.
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective and visually appealing.
