Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Menominee, MI to support the Store Manager in leading a team and ensuring positive customer experiences. You will handle merchandising, processing freight, and daily store activities, while upholding safety and company standards.

You will assist with duties such as freight management, stock replenishment, and monthly Sales Planner implementation, in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with a focus on community service and value.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and handle physical duties as described.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain store stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including bathrooms.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Assist Store Manager with additional duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards.
• Stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective and merchandised with clips and panels.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
