Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Mauston, WI. You will work with the Store Manager to lead a dynamic team, focusing on merchandising and processing freight, and delivering positive experiences to the community.

The role requires prior retail and management experience, strong communication and teamwork, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. You will assist with opening/closing, stockroom management, and implementing monthly plans while keeping the store clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and perform related physical tasks.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy and other communications.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including bathrooms and floors.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise needs according to productivity standards.
• Ensure sales floor is sales-effective and merchandise is properly displayed.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
