Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking an experienced retail leader to join our store management team in California.

You will assist the Store Manager with SOPs, policy execution, and daily operations, while maintaining service standards and a customer-ready environment. In this role you will lead staffing coordination, oversee planograms and in-stock levels, manage inventory and promotions, and train team members to uphold company expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and company programs.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards and accountability for store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution processes and merchandise flow to the sales floor.
• Plan workload and prioritize tasks with store leadership to align staffing with business needs.
• Maintain in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy through SISO routines.
• Oversee Planogram execution and visual merchandising to company standards.
• Maintain clean, organized store environment and stockroom organization.
• Manage inventory control, stock movement, and pricing integrity.
• Execute ad sets and price changes on schedule; support Ship from Store processes.
• Process RTVs and ASN Receiving with proper documentation.
• Support Asset Protection to reduce shrink and ensure safe operations.
• Train, coach and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing development.
