Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Richmond, KY. You will join the Store Manager to lead a dynamic team, focusing on merchandising and freight processing, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

You will assist with all store functions, manage stock, and uphold safety and policy standards while delivering positive experiences for customers and the community.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise as per productivity standards.
• Maintain sales floor and merchandise planning such as clips and panels.
